Purpose of this directory:
This resource is primarily intended for the CSP's stewards, safety reps and equality reps, but will be of interest to all members in the workplace.
- Some ERUS material is specifically written for our accredited reps, with this directory a key component of our induction courses.
- Other content is written for CSP members, but with the expectation that the information will be mainly shared by their workplace representative or staff, rather than accessed through our website.
- Additional resources are available from the Workplace pages of the website, which has been written for all-members in mind. This document provides top-level navigation to this material.
- The document closes with links to ongoing learning, and external resources useful for our reps’ workplace role.

Print on demand
CSP workplace reps are eligible for free printing and delivery of physical resources through our Print on Demand (PoD) service, to handout in your workplace and communities.

Further Resources
The Labour Research Department is an independent, trade union-based research organisation. CSP stewards and safety reps can access LRD's publicatins for free. This library supplements our own online materials, and is a crucial resource when helping members with casework or approaching negotiations in the workplace.
Publications Online is available through the LRD websiteUsername and password details are available on iCSP (Stewards | Safety Reps), or email us for credentials.
The LRD has a pdf user guide for their site. Reps and members can also sign up for the LRD's monthly newsletters.
- CSP's monthly workplace rep email updates. Please email if you do not receive these crucial for info and action updates.
- Once you become an accredited steward, you will automatically be put forward for approval to join your relevant regional and national iCSP networks.
- NHS resources
- NHS Agenda for Change Handbook. Consult the NHS AfC handbook for current NHS pay scales; calculating annual leave, long-service leave and public holidays for NHS staff; information on NHS mileage rates
- NHS Staff Council has responsibility for the Agenda for Change (AfC) pay system and has representatives from the CSP and other health unions. We also sit on its three contractual subgroups, which all produce procedures and guidance which can be used to hold employers to account. - Other trade unions within the health service
The Trades Union Congress brings unions together to draw up common policies on economic and social issues. See their workplace guidance, campaigns, research, and health and safety section.
- ACAS (the Advisory, Conciliation, and Arbitration Service) offers conciliation and arbitration services for collective industrial disputes and employment tribunal cases.
