Application process and guidance

Our guide to applying for jobs with us, and how to make the most of your application.

Before you can apply for a vacancy, you will first need to register with our eRecruitment system. If you wish to apply for any further roles you can log in with these details. If you are unable to use our system, you may request an application form by emailing

Application forms whether online or on paper are always anonymised. In most cases we do not accept CVs, but when we do this will be made clear.  In these cases, we will not be able to anonymise your application.

The shortlisting process

During the shortlisting process we consider the information you provide in your application. We pay particular attention to the personal statement section. So make sure you provide clear evidence here of how you meet the person specification for the role. The strongest applications provide examples from their previous experience that demonstrate how they meet each criteria point within the person specification.

As part of the Disability Confident Scheme, if you declare a disability and meet all of the essential criteria in the person specification, we will shortlist you for an interview.

When will I hear from you?

If you are shortlisted for interview, you will be invited by email usually to log onto the eRecruitment system to book an interview timeslot,  You will also be advised about the interview process, i.e. if any testing is required or if you need to bring any documentation with you.

You can log on at any point during the application process to check the status of your application.

If you are unsuccessful after the application stage you will be notified by email. This usually happens within a week of the closing date.

If you have any queries about the application process, you can email the HR team or call us on 020 7306 6666.
