Based at the CSP Head office 14 Bedford Row, Holborn, WC1R 4ED

The CSP is the trade union and educational, professional organisation for the UK’s 58,000 chartered physiotherapists, support workers and students; and one of the largest representative bodies in healthcare.

This is a key leadership role within the organisation with a primary focus on delivering the CSP’s professional body role through the development of programmes of activity with a particular focus on physiotherapy research, practice, translation and dissemination of evidence for practice. You will also ensure we are adapting and evolving as a professional body to the needs of the changing population, capitalising on opportunities for UK physiotherapy and optimising performance to fulfil our strategic objectives.

Educated to postgraduate degree level or equivalent, you will be adept at matrix working and be able to manage the demands of a complex role, implementing resources and developing networking and engagement approaches. You will also work closely with the Leadership Group for the organisation to drive forward corporate initiatives and priorities.

You will have previously practiced as a Physiotherapist or in a similar role in which you would have developed an in-depth understanding of healthcare systems, healthcare practice and physiotherapy research. You will also have expertise in translation and dissemination of evidence for practice, clinical standards development, evaluation and have the ability to lead programmes.

At the CSP our goal is to create a culture which is characterised by innovation, respect, encouragement, passion and teamwork.  We all strive for continuous improvement and to be the best at everything we do.  We aspire to work in a way that embodies our values of learning, courage, inclusive and integrity.  Our shared values are part of our organisational DNA and reflect the expectations we have of ourselves and others. They guide what we do and how we do it to have the greatest impact for our members.  Please click here for further information.
