Aviva amends stance on business interruption claims after CSP and Physio First pressure

Many CSP members who had claimed on their Aviva business interruption insurance policy as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic will hear shortly how Aviva will now accept cover for some of their losses.

This breakthrough in Aviva's position follows sustained pressure from CSP and Physio First, working with James Hallam Insurance Brokers, to provide extensive evidence in support of our members' claims.

Members affected by a qualifying claim will start to receive letters from Aviva from 23 July, explaining the new position and giving details of what they will need to do next.

Natalie Beswetherick, CSP director of practice and development said:

"We know how difficult the last year has been for our members working in private practice and we are delighted that by fighting the previous unacceptable position, we have finally secured some positive news."

The following further message to members from James Hallam brokers provides some additional detail.
