The board oversees the work of two grant-awarding panels, the scientific panel and the educational awards panel, as well as directly funded projects.

‘There are a number of vacancies to fill, due to some current trustees reaching the end of their terms, and we are seeking five trustees from among the CSP membership, as well as one independent lay trustee,’ said Shamina Begum, charitable trust and awards officer.

‘The CSPCT is seeking to maintain a board with a collective and wide range of professional, business and personal skills, to enable it to draw on a breadth of knowledge and experience in its decision-making and governance of the trust,’ she added.

The core aim of the independent charitable organisation, established in 1980, is to support the advancement of education and research in subjects relevant to the practice of physiotherapy. Its funds come from an annual CSP donation as well as occasional bequests and legacies from members, member groups and external organisations.

Recruitment packs are available here, and the deadline for applications is midday on 5 March 2018. Interviews will also be held in March.
