The British Council funded workshop on neuropsychological rehabilitation is the result of a collaboration between the Oliver Zangwill Centre, a specialist rehab centre managed by Cambridgeshire Community Services NHS trust and the Universidade Federal do Paraná, where it will be hosted from 8-11 March.

The workshop coordinators are seeking clinicians and researchers interested in helping people who have had a brain injury to achieve a better quality of life by improving neuropsychological rehabilitation.

Physiotherapist Dr Andrew Bateman, who leads the Oliver Zangwill Centre and is coordinating the trip, said:

‘The aim is to bring together people from a range of disciplines from the UK and Brazil to learn from each other and to plan future research studies.

‘The topics will be led by the workshop participants under the mentorship of a senior physiotherapist, speech and language therapist and clinical psychology senior researchers.
