To help you prepare for your presentation, we've provided a range of useful resources, including oral presentation guidelines and optional PowerPoint templates. You're welcome to use one of our PowerPoint templates. They're completely optional and can be adapted to suit your content, presentation style, and preferences.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to register for the conference if my abstract is accepted?
Yes. Acceptance of your abstract does not automatically register you for the event.
If you are presenting an abstract at the main conference on 19 to 20 October, you will need to purchase a ticket to attend, as the CSP is unable to cover attendance costs.
However, if you are presenting at the student conference on 19 October, you can book a ticket free of charge.
I am presenting a poster. Do I have to attend in person?
Yes, the CSP requires all poster presenters to attend in person and be present during the designated poster sessions.
Presenters must put up their posters in the poster hall and be available to engage in discussion about their research during the final 20 minutes of the lunch break on each day of the conference.
Failure to present in person may result in withdrawal of the abstract from the conference programme.
I am a poster presenter. Do I have to attend both days
Attending conferences is a valuable form of Continuing Professional Development (CPD), offering opportunities to engage with peers, build connections, and gain insights from professionals in the field, in addition to presenting your abstract and poster.
Although attendance on both days is not compulsory, we strongly encourage it to take full advantage of the CPD opportunities and the broader conference experience. We have different delegates attend each day who will be interested in the poster hall.
If you are facing financial barriers, you may be eligible to apply for our Widening Participation Award. We particularly welcome applications from members who are presenting, haven't previously attended conference and people with marginalised identities. Click here for further details.
I cannot attend the conference. Can a colleague present my poster on my behalf?
The CSP requires all poster presenters to attend in person and be present during the designated poster sessions.
If you are unable to attend, only named authors can present on your behalf. They must purchase a ticket to attend.
As a presenter, can I choose what day I present?
All conference sessions are carefully planned and programmed to complement each other. Unfortunately, it is not always possible to accommodate individual requests regarding the day on which you present.
Is there financial support to attend the conference?
In specific circumstances, you can apply to our Widening Participation Award or other grants for financial support to attend.
I have accessibility needs. Can you accommodate my attendance?
