Rutherford School is a mixed day school for children between the ages of 3-19 years who have profound and multiple learning difficulties with physical disabilities and complex medical needs. Many also have visual and hearing impairments.
The school are now seeking a Senior Specialist Physiotherapist who will oversee any qualified Physiotherapist, Physiotherapy Technician, Physiotherapy students and hydrotherapy/Rebound therapy assistants.
The successful candidate will be responsible for co-ordinating, developing and implementing the school’s external services, and will be expected to liaise with external community groups and services to establish and maintain links with the school for the purpose of gaining prospective pupils and to work towards generating additional income for the school. The majority of intervention conducted by the Physiotherapy team will be carried out within the school setting, although there will be occasions when attendance at specialist clinic appointments or home visits are required.
