Interested in leading healthcare system transformation? Have you got what it takes to mobilise that transformation?

Head of Implementation Programme: First Contact Physiotherapy

  • £53,720 – London Based (Inclusive of London Weighting)
  • £49,678 – Home Based (Inclusive of Home Workers Allowance, subject to meeting requirements for home working)

  • Full Time, fixed term for 8 months, 35 hours per week. Secondment considered.
  • Based either at home or in the London office, with ability to undertake significant travel.

The CSP is the trade union, educational and professional organisation for the UK's 59,000 chartered physiotherapists, support workers and students; and one of the largest representative bodies in healthcare.

This role offers a unique opportunity to influence the rapid improvement of local musculoskeletal services in primary care, through the implementation of First Contact Physiotherapists. You will work with CSP colleagues, the Society’s FCP network, and NHS stakeholders to support local system transformation within primary care networks across England, Health Boards across Scotland and Wales, and Health and Social Care Trusts across Northern Ireland.

You will work with and manage, a project support officer, and lead and develop the work of a team of professional advisers across the UK. Your leadership, including through the CSP’s UK wide FCP Network, will ensure that physiotherapists and general practitioners, across primary care, engage with this national programme of transformation supported by the four UK countries’ governments.

The ideal candidate will be a First Contact Physiotherapist or an Advanced Practice Physiotherapist in musculoskeletal care, with service improvement experience, looking for a career enhancing role that provides the post holder with a UK-wide portfolio, exposure to developing and implementing policy on a national platform and the ability to provide physiotherapy leadership on service and quality improvement matters within the UK healthcare system.

You will be a CSP member who has a track record of leading and managing a service and team, leading quality improvement projects and has substantial experience of clinical practice. You will have a good understanding of current healthcare policy drivers, and you will demonstrate excellent communication and team working skills.
