This physiotherapy post is line managed through Adult Community Therapies , part of Enfield Health, who deliver physical health to the population of Enfield and includes Adult Community Therapies, MSK Physiotherapy District nursing , Tissue viability , ICT, and respiratory services. We would be able to provide professional development with regular supervision, training and leadership.

We are looking for an enthusiastic physiotherapist with broad clinical experience and an interest in community rehabilitation, Mental Health and Elderly rehab, to be part of a team of qualified and support staff, providing physiotherapy services to a diverse group of patients requiring specialist assessment and management.

About the job

There are two core elements to this physiotherapy post,

  • Working within the community of Enfield assessing, treating and delivering care to patients within their own homes
  • Being part of the MDT providing Physiotherapy to the Adult Dementia and Cognitive impairment wards and to the day hospital on the Chase Farm Hospital site. The case load will be diverse and a key element will be assessing patients and devising individual treatment and management plans that will be delivered in conjunction with support staff, with a focus on falls prevention and enablement.
  • We also provide the Physiotherapy service to the Eating disorders Unit at St Ann’s Hospital in Tottenham. We recognise this will be a new area of work for most candidates and therefore you will be supported by existing experienced senior Physiotherapists in this field. It would not be an area of work you would initially be involved working in.

The Adult Community Physiotherapy service consists of established and experienced senior B7s. B6’s, B5 physiotherapists and support staff and is led by 2 Service managers, who are also Physiotherapists.

About you

You could be an existing band 5 physiotherapist wishing to work within the community and mental health settings ,with broad experience wishing to take on further responsibility and the opportunity to develop specialist physiotherapy skills in a friendly and supported environment,

Or perhaps you are already a band 6 Physiotherapist with some experience of working in the community or in Mental Health wanting to expand and further enhance your clinical and professional skills in a different sphere.

You will bring relevant or transferable clinical experience and be able to problem solve and manage patients with a range of clinical presentations. You will be able to adapt your interventions based on individual and service needs, combining good clinical skills and knowledge with a supportive approach to the wider clinical team. You will have day to day responsibility for a physiotherapy assistant providing you with the chance to develop your supervisory and organisational skills.
