Update on access to vaccines for independent health sector in Scotland

Letter confirms Scottish government is developing guidance for third and independent sector health and social care access to  COVID vaccinations, due to be published on 26 January.

The Scottish government has written to professional bodies and stakeholder organisations to confirm that plans are underway to provide access to vaccinations for the third and independent health sector. The letter states,

"To support these valued Third and Independent Sector Health and Social Care Staff to access vaccinations, the Scottish Government Flu Vaccination and Covid Vaccination Programme has established a Short Life Working Group (SLWG). This group are currently scoping options with Health Boards to understand and make clear the points of access and process by which those eligible staff in the independent and third sector can access vaccination. The SLWG group will communicate these to you again on, or before, Tuesday 26th January, 2021."
