Further information

Lucy Hodge | Paediatric Physiotherapy

As a children’s physiotherapist and certified children’s yoga teacher, I am passionate about children moving, to the best of their ability - no matter what that is.

I am a dedicated and effective physiotherapist with twelve years of paediatric experience in the NHS and private sector.  This includes work in the acute, community and clinic settings, with significant experience in special schools and working with mainstream schools and nurseries.

My specialisms/interests include:

  • Early Years: Babies and pre-school age children, including those born prematurely
  • Delayed walking or motor development
  • Complex physical disability including those with respiratory needs.
  • Movement disorders
  • Gait and orthoses
  • Posture and Postural Management
  • General activity and fitness for the young of all abilities

I offer an honest expert opinion about your child’s needs following a full and thorough assessment.  I take a holistic, hands-on approach to treatment and work closely with children and their families to ensure they reach their full potential.  I am passionate about working with, and empowering parents, to enable them to optimise their child’s ability.  I will also incorporate elements of yoga into my physiotherapy practice where appropriate.

It is important to assess a child in their own, familiar environment:  This gives you the added convenience of me coming to you.  However, if required I will also see your child at nursery, school, in the playground or swimming pool.  I also offer virtual assessment (for a reduced cost) if you prefer.

So, if you would like physiotherapy assessment, treatment or advice; please do not hesitate to contact me. Please do leave me a message if I can't get to the phone with your postcode if you would like to me to get back to you with possible dates for an appointment.
