The Department of Allied Health Professions is one of the UK's leading centres of health education and one of the first UK Universities to offer Allied Health Professions Degree Apprenticeship courses.

As Subject Group Leader you'll be responsible for the both operational and strategic development of the subject group, working closely with the Deputy Head of Department and the department's Principal Lecturers, to create a positive student experience, support staff development and ensure a healthy portfolio offer. You will be dedicated to excellence in the quality of educational programmes, with an unrelenting focus on quality and quality improvement in all aspects of the role.

Key duties include:
• Line managing staff within the subject group, providing academic and subject leadership, direction and focus
• Developing and implementing opportunities to develop the department's portfolio
• Developing, maintaining and enhancing academic capability and capacity to meet required academic standards and to enhance quality, encouraging excellence in service delivery.

Excellent people management skills including the ability to inspire, motivate, coach, and develop high achieving teams is essential. You should have experience of interprofessional education and/or working across professional boundaries, alongside a research profile that complements our institutional vision to deliver world-leading applied research in health and social care.
