Band 8A: £50,965 - £55,016
37.5 hours per week, Permanent

The NHS Highland Orthopaedic Service is seeking an expert level, highly effective and motivated HCPC registered Physiotherapist to join the team of Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioners.

As the Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner working within the Orthopaedic Spinal Service, your role will be to provide assessment, management and advice to patients referred into the spinal service. This will include regular MDTs with the Orthopaedic Consultants with referral for further investigations when necessary. You will work closely with the spinal surgeons in developing and innovating the spinal service which will include creating NHS Highland wide pathways and expanding the APP role within the Orthopaedic spinal service.

You will also, as part of a team, be responsible for triaging the orthopaedic waiting list.

You will provide leadership, clinical education and mentorship to the Physiotherapy staff within NHS Highland. You will be responsible for implementing and leading on research, promoting evidence based practice within the service area, and ensuring we are a service that responds to national policy, initiatives and clinical governance.

You will be an excellent communicator with well developed teaching skills, and leadership qualities. You will also be a forward thinking team player, with a proven track record of innovative approaches in Physiotherapy practice, and demonstrable advanced skills and knowledge in management of spinal conditions.

There will be opportunity to liaise with and work alongside other Advanced Practice Physiotherapists
in Orthopaedics to further develop effective patient pathways in NHS Highland. We are committed
