Job Description

We are seeking a highly Specialist Neurological & Vestibular Physiotherapist to join our London Bridge Team. You will lead on the running of the neurological and vestibular service within the outpatient physiotherapy department.  You will be the most senior clinician in this field and will be responsible for growing and developing the service, and working closely with Neurological, ENT and other consultants at London Bridge Hospital.  You will also be responsible for a majority neurological and vestibular caseload, managing patients with complex needs. 

Duties and responsibilities

  • To be responsible for a neurological and vestibular clinical caseload, providing highly specialised Physiotherapy care to outpatients.

  • To provide clinical care for neurological and rehab patients on inpatients, supporting the inpatient physiotherapy team with the care pathways and standards of care for these patients.

  • To utilise highly developed clinical reasoning skills and knowledge in providing high quality physiotherapy assessment, diagnosis and treatment, facilitating evidence based care.

  • To use highly developed clinical skills to triage outpatients to the appropriate service / management.

  • To provide highly specialised physiotherapy treatment using advanced clinical reasoning skills and evidence based practice.

  • To work to the highest standards to facilitate evidence-based patient care, playing a key role in implementing, facilitating and developing physiotherapy best practice in line with local and national guidelines.

  • To ensure that patient centred goals are set and that the outcome of intervention is monitored, using appropriate outcome measures in line with insurer contracts and available evidence.

  • To maintain accurate, up-to-date and concise treatment records detailing the individual patient’s treatment plan and progress.

Skills and experience

  • Highly specialist experience in Neurology, working within Outpatient and Inpatient settings

  • Experience treating a wide range of neurological and vestibular conditions, including stroke, MS, neurological injuries, post op spinal, dizziness and headaches

  • Appropriate training at MSc level or equivalent experiential development

  • HCPC registration
