A rare opportunity has arisen to join the Stroke team within Basildon Hospital. We are looking for a enthusiastic and driven individual to lead the team and contribute to the development of the service to benefit patients and staff alike.
The successful candidate lead a team of Physiotherapists in the delivery of high quality care within the Hyper Acute and Acute Stroke pathways and in conjunction with the Integrated Therapy Lead contribute to strategic planning and development of the physiotherapy service within this service across the whole organisation.
Uses advanced clinical reasoning skills to provide specialist support and advice to the physiotherapy and other medical staff whilst maintaining a clinical caseload of highly complex patients as an autonomous practitioner.
Uses professional and clinical leadership in the development and implementation of a comprehensive training and personal development plan for all physiotherapy staff within designated area and in conjunction with the Integrated Therapy Lead strives to ensure excellence of training across the whole organisation.
Responsible, with the Integrated Therapy Lead, in maintaining and improving all aspects of clinical governance, evidence based practice and quality assurance in service area and across whole organisation.
