Nuffield Health is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Senior Physiotherapist to join the team at Shrewsbury. This is a bank post to join our inpatient team on the weekend rota working in a  mostly orthopaedic caseload. There may be the possibility to join the team for additional weekday hours to help cover for annual leave etc if available.

The role would suit individuals who enjoy working in a team environment, working with both physiotherapy, nursing and other PAM colleagues but also our admitting Consultants.

Our caseload is predominantly orthopaedic, with occasional medical admissions. We offer a seven day service in the ward to ensure our patients receive the highest standard and quality of care, ensuring a safe and timely discharge.
We work very closely with our Consultant colleagues, and there is the opportunity to attend the physiotherapy In-Service Training programme, with access to the Nuffield Academy for further professional courses.

The Main Clinical Duties and Responsibilities are to:

  • Deliver excellent clinical care that is evidence based, Safe, Effective, Caring, Well-led and responsive to our patient’s needs.
  • Ensure on-going monitoring of the standard of treatment provided
  • Be compliant with all professional, clinical and integrated governance standards and participate in clinical audit and other quality assurance processes

Your Qualifications, Experience, Skills and Values

With a BSc in Physiotherapy or equivalent, you’ll be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. You will have evidence of relevant further and continual training and professional development, reflecting your desire to develop as a practitioner.

You’ll be a confident communicator with the ability to engage effectively with the general public and other healthcare professionals. 

We expect you to be a competent and confident IT user and to be well organised – you’ll have the ability to prioritise and deal with your varied workload in an effective and timely manner.
