Senior Pelvic Health Physiotherapist 22.5 hours

Ramsay Health Care UK is one of the leading providers of private patient and NHS services in England, with a network of over 30 acute hospitals and Treatment Centres and rated as GOOD by the Care Quality Commission. Springfield Hospital has come towards the end of an exciting major development where the hospital has expanded to accommodate 73 admitted patients comprising 56 single bedrooms, 3 twin rooms, a 3 bedded high observation room and a day-case facility with individual accommodation for up to 11 patients.

We have a vacancy for an experienced dedicated Pelvic Health Physiotherapist to join our dynamic friendly team. The post holder must be enthusiastic, motivated, committed to patient focused care and has proven experience in treating complex pelvic conditions. The post holder will deliver an outstanding level of care to our patients with empathy and compassion working alongside a highly skilled physiotherapy team whilst considering the needs of the business. The post holder will be based within the out-patient team.

The successful candidate should have extensive postgraduate experience in managing female and/or male pelvic health conditions to include; pelvic floor dysfunction, Uro-gynaecological conditions (continence issues, urinary urge, prolapse), bowel urge, bowel incontinence and obstructive defaecation syndrome, complex pelvic pain and obstetrics (Pre and post-natal care).

You will be responsible for your own caseload and have prior post graduate training in vaginal and anorectal examinations with experience of managing highly complex patients autonomously. You will be expected to provide support to the in-patient team and actively be involved in clinical audits and assist physiotherapy manager in delivering and expanding the pelvic health service.

The physiotherapy department offers an out-patient service six days per week managing post-operative orthopaedic and general musculoskeletal and pelvic health caseloads, paediatrics, respiratory and vestibular rehabilitation. There are seven treatment rooms all with air conditioning and a well-equipped gym. We also offer a seven-day in-patient physiotherapy service and the workload includes orthopaedic, surgical and medical caseloads.

The successful candidate should have:

  • HCPC and CSP registration and an excellent understanding of CSP Standards of Physiotherapy Practice and Rules of Professional Conduct
  • High level of experience in female and male pelvic health
  • Certified post-graduate courses in pelvic health
  • Work within the governance framework of the hospital and comply with regulatory standards (CQC) ensuring high quality clinical care that is evidence based, safe, effective, caring and responsive to our patient’s needs
  • Experience in clinical audits and utilising outcome tools
  • Ability to work evenings and possible Saturdays as service requires
  • Ability to organise and prioritise independently
  • Ability to maintain judgement under pressure
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills (written & oral) and IT skills
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent clinical reasoning processes
  • High degree of attention to detail whilst working towards tight deadlines
  • Work positively and effectively within a team environment to achieve team goals and excellence in service delivery
  • An understanding of the Private sector would be an advantage
