Transforming lives through excellent education.

London Met is an extraordinary institution. Equity and social inclusion have always been our driving principles, and it's what makes the University so unique. Our organisation is distinctive, both in its eclectic and diverse community of students and staff, and also for its historical role in serving some of London’s most deprived boroughs. Everything we do is underpinned by our philosophy that an individual should have the opportunity to transform their life through the power of education.

Equipping our students with the tools for their future is at the heart of our academic offering. We pride ourselves on providing our students with access to a wealth of opportunities and professions. Our graduates benefit personally, but also contribute their unique perspectives to society, culture, public service and the economy in all areas of London, the UK and around the world.

The School of Human Sciences brings together the University's science based health related provision and the essential scientific disciplines that underpin this provision. Our courses are closely allied to subjects related to medicine and focus on activities that consider the factors that influence human health and wellbeing which take a holistic approach to individual and community wellbeing.

An opportunity has arisen within the School of Human Sciences for a Senior Lecturer of Cardiorespiratory Physiotherapy to contribute to the delivery of the Physiotherapy programmes at London Met. You will be a specialist Cardiorespiratory Physiotherapist having a degree in Physiotherapy and ideally a relevant higher degree or PhD, and be an HCPC registered Physiotherapist.

You will contribute to the delivery of our degree programmes and external placement activities through teaching, utilising the principles of our Education for Social Justice Framework.

You will have skills and expertise within research and/or knowledge exchange and be able to contribute to the University’s strategic aims in growing its research and impact.

You will work collaboratively through teaching and research within the Institution, our School, and the Health Sciences group, fostering its values and supporting strong academic outcomes.

Maintenance and further development of professional skills and expertise will be encouraged and supported.

Join a dynamic and enthusiastic team of health-care professionals and academics within Health Sciences (Physiotherapists, Dietitians, Nutritionists and Sports Professionals) who strive to deliver an exceptional student experience and support representation through our vision to provide education within a Civic University. We welcome applications from staff seeking a secondment opportunity should your current employer support this approach.
