Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club are currently recruiting for a senior academy physiotherapist (U23’s) to join our award-winning medical team. Our dedicated medical team have been recognised for their outstanding work and innovation within the field of sports medicine in the 2017/18 season, after being nominated for the ‘Premier League Medical and Science Team Award’ at the Football Medical Association Conference.

This role will primarily involve leading the day-to-day provision of medical care to all those in the U23’s age group with the support from the Head Academy Physiotherapist. This role will also contribute to Brighton & Hove Albion FC, striving to create a medical department that is viewed as a centre of excellence in the management of neuromusculoskeletal injuries.

You must have an undergraduate degree in physiotherapy, and have or be working towards an MSc in Sports Physiotherapy, Manual Therapy or Sports and Exercise Medicine (or equivalent). You will also have a minimum of 4 years’ membership with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and will be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). You must be able to demonstrate an ability to develop, implement and evaluate physiotherapy programmes for elite young professional footballers and have experience working within a professional sporting environment.

This is a permanent role and will be required to start as soon as possible. This role will be primarily based at our state of the art training facility, the American Express Elite Football Performance Centre, in Lancing and may be required to attend our world-class stadium, the American Express Community Stadium, in Brighton. You will be expected to undertake travel as necessary to fulfil the requirements of the role.
