Are you looking to start or continue your career as a Band 5 Physiotherapist in a pro-active, enthusiastic and supportive team? Then applying for a physiotherapy post in Aneurin Bevan University Health Board (ABUHB) is the answer.
This is an exciting time to join us as we work with other colleagues across the health board to deliver the Clinical Futures Strategy. The strategy sets out how we are moving to a better balance of care by:-
- Delivering most care close to home,
- Creating a network of local hospitals providing routine diagnostic and treatment services,
- Centralising specialist and critical care services in a purpose build Specialist and Critical Care Centre
We are currently looking for band 5 physiotherapists who are either already Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) registered or are due to graduate in the summer of 2019.
You will be welcomed and fully supported by the existing team and take responsibility for managing your own caseload, helping us to provide a high quality service to our patients.
The Physiotherapy Service prides itself on providing an excellent training programme tailor made for our Band 5 Physiotherapy staff. This is supplemented by a structured mentoring programme, overseen by experienced clinicians to ensure that your development needs are met. You will also participate in local in-service training sessions and be able to undertake other development opportunities as they arise. ABUHB covers a wide geographical area across which you will rotate on a 4 monthly basis, covering a wide range of specialities, including all core areas, gaining experience in acute, rehab and community settings.
Once you have completed the relevant rotations and accompanying competencies you will be required to participate in the respiratory on-call rota and weekend working, along with 7 day working practices as appropriate.
ABUHB is well situated to allow easy transport links to the various cities along the M4 corridor, the beautiful surrounding countryside which includes the Brecon Beacons and the South Wales coastline.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
