This is a new post within the MSK Community Physiotherapy Service; applications are invited from experienced personal trainers and/or fitness professionals. You will work alongside the MSK physiotherapy team, to provide lifestyle support and high-level rehabilitation for the patients referred to us from primary care.

Specific delivery of professional exercise therapy skills will augment the work of the Physiotherapy Service and lead patients progressively from healthcare to on-going self-management and activity in the community following discharge.

You will carry-out routine interventions as directed by the physiotherapist, recording outcome measures of your interventions and documenting all care provided. Running gym based classes requires good organisational and communication skills coupled with an attention to detail ensuring all aspects of patient safety. There are a range of additional duties such as providing patients with introductions to gym equipment to ensure it is used safely, maintenance of equipment and ensuring compliance with infection control standards in the clinical areas.
