Are you interested in developing a new learning resource for supporting racial inclusivity in physiotherapy practice education? We are seeking physiotherapy practice educators and students to join our team of university educators to co-create this exciting new learning resource collaboratively by HEE. We will build on previous research exploring the experiences of students from black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds, to prioritise key issues and identify useful approaches.

We would like to hear from you if you are either a qualified physiotherapist in the UK with practice education experience, or a pre-registration physiotherapy student from a black, Asian, or minority ethnic background who has been on at least one practice placement in the UK.

What is expected of me?
To contribute to steering group activities, which will include attending seven meetings over the project duration, preparation before attending, co-designing the resource content based on previous data, development, implementation, and evaluation.

Mode:
You will be paid for your attendance at the seven (1hr) online meetings. The first meeting is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday 23 November 2021 between 5pm and 6pm. Subsequent meetings are likely to be the first and third Tuesday of each month between 5pm and 6pm, to be negotiated based on all the co-creator’s availability.

How to apply

For all enquiries contact Dr Yetunde Dairo at yetunde.dairo@bucks.ac.uk. If you would like to join the project as a co-creator, please send a brief email outlining your intention and how you meet the above criteria with an up-to-date CV, of not more than four pages for educators and two pages for students. Informal enquiries are also welcome.
