We have several exciting opportunities for Physiotherapy Assistants to join our team in opening a brand-new hospital in London, Nuffield Health at St Bartholomew’s Hospital, opening in the autumn of 2021. We are looking for an array of Physiotherapy Assistants who will help lead the delivery of high quality patient care.
In autumn 2021, we’ll open the doors to Nuffield Health at St Bartholomew’s Hospital: The City of London’s only independent hospital, situated next to St Bartholomew’s NHS hospital. This will be our flagship centre for cardiac services and will also provide a full range of surgical and medical services, including: orthopaedics, oncology, general surgery, gynaecology and urology services.
The new hospital will consist of:
- 48 inpatient and day case bedrooms
- 28 consultation rooms
- Three digital operating theatres
- Cardiac catheterisation lab
- Specialist intensive care beds
- Oncology day unit
- Endoscopy and minor ops theatre
- Full diagnostic imaging suite including MRI, CT, ultrasound, mammography and general X-ray
As a Physiotherapy assistant you will assist with the treatment of patients, under the supervision of a Senior Physiotherapist, and undertake clinical tasks for which previous training has been provided and completed. In addition, you will provide administrative support to the physiotherapy service and ensure the highest standards of customer care are maintained.
At Nuffield Health, your role calls for equal excellence in technical and people skills. You’ll need at least 12 months working experience in the UK ideally with experience of working in a customer/client facing role, a good command of the English language and computer literacy skills. You’ll also need a caring nature and the ability to see each patient as an individual and carry out this role with understanding and empathy.
