We are looking for physiotherapists to join the institute physiotherapy team to contribute to the delivery of integrated physiotherapy services to institute supported athletes across a range of sports. The post-holder will deliver clinical physiotherapy in a variety of environments and locations and will contribute to the ongoing development and delivery of multidisciplinary athlete preparation and rehabilitation processes.
You will need excellent skills in multidisciplinary athlete preparation, injury management and rehabilitation. You will require the capability to work effectively with a varied network of coaching and support staff. Candidates should have a desire to be involved within performance sport, experience of multidisciplinary working, an aptitude for the practicalities of working in a high performance sporting environment along with a flexible approach to meet the needs of athletes and sports.
Applicants should possess a physiotherapy qualification and be registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC). They should have significant postgraduate physiotherapy experience along with practical experience in sports physiotherapy. A postgraduate qualification in Sports Physiotherapy or similar is desirable, as is experience of travelling with athletes to competition or training camp.
These are full-time appointments with day-to-day workload focused within the Central belt of Scotland however travel throughout the institute network will be required. Travel in support of domestic and international camps and competition will also be necessary. A full driving licence is essential.
