A sub-tropical island of spectacular and beautiful landscapes in the South Atlantic with a warm and friendly population of 4,500, St Helena is a self-governing overseas territory of the UK. Following the opening of its international airport in October 2017, St Helena is better placed to develop both economically and socially.
Working as part of a team comprising two physiotherapists and a physiotherapy assistant, you will deliver a comprehensive physiotherapy service, within the hospital, residential care homes and island community.
With substantial experience in a physiotherapy environment, you will hold a diploma/degree in physiotherapy which includes at least 1,000 hours of supervised clinical contact. Health Professions Council Registration (UK) or equivalent is essential, as is a working knowledge of a broad range of conditions and of clinical placements. Up to date with professional practice and evidence-based research, your skills in physiotherapy manual techniques, clinical reasoning and treatment should be supported by good communication and IT skills. You will need a driving licence to fulfil your community role.
