Be there when it matters
We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Physiotherapist to join our friendly team at Stagenhoe Neurological Care Centre. Your role will provide a physiotherapy service by assessing, implementing (by self or physiotherapy assistants) and evaluating programmes of person centred care as part of the multi-disciplinary team.
Stagenhoe is a Sue Ryder specialist neurological care centre based in Hertfordshire, caring for people aged 18 and over a range of neurological conditions. At Stagenhoe, we provide the care people need to optimise their health and well-being, maximise their independence and support their emotional and social needs.
Scope of the job:
•To assess service user needs and to develop an appropriate physiotherapy to meet individual needs
•To ensure practice complies with Health & Care Professions Council and Sue Ryder Standards of Care, CSP Code of Ethics and Professional Standards
•To manage and supervise a team of junior staff in provision of care
•To ensure appropriate provision and maintenance of equipment
•To share knowledge and expertise with other staff through formal and informal teaching
Experience and skills required:
•Diploma/BSc Physiotherapy
•Current and Valid Registration with Health & Care Professions Council
•Current registration with professional body (e.g. CSP)
•Member of specialist interest group (ACIPN or ACPOPC)
•Appropriate post registration qualification desirable
•Evidence of CPD
•Previous experience in neuro rehabilitation.
•Use of evidence based practice and outcome measures
•Highly specialist knowledge and application of physiotherapy assessments and interventions using complex level clinical reasoning
•An ability to work autonomously and to set own and others’ priorities
•Leadership skills
