An excellent opportunity has arisen for band 8a physiotherapist to join the Southampton Primary Care Limited First Contact Physiotherapy service. 

 We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Physiotherapist to join our developing FCP service where our physios assess patients within the GP setting with the support of GP colleagues. 

The successful applicant will be coordinating ad overseeing the FCP team and supporting them through the FCP accreditation process. 

There are excellent CPD opportunities in a friendly & supportive environment that includes a weekly clinical support group, regular clinical supervision, access to on call Clinical lead (GP),  as well as access to external courses via CPD funding. 

Successful applicants will have substantial post graduate experience of working in musculoskeletal specialties; will have excellent leadership skills, a positive attitude and excellent communication skills. 

To take a supportive role in the day-to-day delivery of a high quality First Contact Physiotherapy (FCP), managing resources and conflicting priorities. 

  • Undertake all MSK aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner acting as a specialist for MSK and seeking support when appropriate for non MSK conditions or concerns. 
  • Evaluate FCP Service in conjunction with primary care leads and take actions to contribute to continual quality improvement and positive patient outcomes. 
  • Role model positive, inclusive, and compassionate leadership.
