Grade 7a/8  Starting salary* £35,844 or £42,793 (dependent upon experience*)

Due to an expanding AHP portfolio and increasing student numbers, an exciting opportunity has arisen for one full time position as a Lecturer in Physiotherapy (Neurology) in the School of Allied Health Professions, to teach across the School’s undergraduate and postgraduate curriculum. Physiotherapy, Radiography (Diagnostic Imaging) and Rehabilitation and Exercise Science are established and growing programmes within the School and a new MSc (2 year) Prosthetics and Orthotics Programme starts in 2022.

 The School offers high quality undergraduate and pre-registration as well as postgraduate provision and PGR supervision. The School hosts the “Prevention, Performance and Rehabilitation” Faculty research theme and supports both Scholarship and Research collaborations. This post offers the opportunity for applicants with a PhD to be appointed on a Lecturer (Education and Research) contract to further develop a research career or those with more scholarly ambition, to be appointed on a Lecturer (Education and Scholarship) contract.

Since September 2019 the School has offered a 4-year MSci in Physiotherapy and since January 2020 a 2-year pre-registration Masters in Physiotherapy. You will play a part in the development of educational initiatives aligned with the School strategic direction, and will pursue scholarly activities in line with the School focus.  You will be an HCPC registered Physiotherapist, with an appreciation of the principles of teaching and learning in higher education.
