Job Description

Job Title: FT or PT Sports / Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist Wanted

Location: North West / South Manchester / Wilmslow

Salary: Negotiable dependent on experience (Full Time 25.5K - 33K or Part Time Hours prorata)

Hours of Work: FT Shift Work - Between 8am and 9pm Monday to Friday. 9am to 5pm every third Saturday with Fridays off when working Saturday shift.

Overview of Role:

beyondphysio are looking for a full time MSK & Sports Physiotherapist to work in a multifaceted role in our busy Wilmslow Clinic. This is an exciting, fast paced role with scope to develop within a dedicated team of professionals.The successful candidate will establish a Physiotherapy clinical caseload, work closely with the Physiotherapy Lead to develop themselves to the highest standard, perform sports massage and participate in Teaching Exercise Classes, Pilates Reformer and Equipment classes, perform DEXA (DXA) scans for body composition and bone density and teach group class and one to one training sessions. You will form part of a multi-disciplinary team teaching Pilates and other class formats and also treat a mixed caseload of the general public, private health insurance and recreational through to elite athletes. Ideally, you will have experience in a private practice setting and if not currently using Pilates you will eventually have the ability to teach classes including Pilates Matwork, Pilates reformer classes and resistance based exercises classes or be willing to work towards this.

You should be confident in dealing with the general public and be able to use and or develop your clinical reasoning to an exceptional level. Your manual handling skills should also be good to exceptional or you should be willing to work towards this. You will be expected to use electronic notes and compile online reports as part of our contracts with private health insurers and also contribute to our In-Service Training program which runs weekly for one hour on a Wednesday. Purpose of the job:

To provide exceptional MSK, Sports and general Physiotherapy, Pilates, Exercise and Health & Well Being services within a Private Practice setting to the general public.

Principle Responsibilities:

To Deliver effective and high level physiotherapy services for the general public. Provide and contribute to our in-house training program. To teach one on one and group exercise sessions. To perform and interpret DEXA Scans after training. To promote the organisation appropriately by representing beyondphysio at meetings and seminars and other promotional activities. To liaise with the clinical directors and practice manager and be prepared to undertake any other reasonable duties including reception and administration tasks related to working at beyondphysio. To ensure electronic clinical notes and reports are kept up to date. To work closely with the team lead to develop your clinical reasoning and hands on musculoskeletal skills to an exceptional level

Knowledge & Experience:

Essential: Qualification as a Chartered physiotherapist (CSP), Health Professions Council Registration (HCPC) Experience of the provision of physiotherapy services or willingness to learn quickly. Flexibility in both work schedules and holiday cover. Good presentation and a serious interest in your own fitness and well being. Pilates Instructor training or sports science training or a willingness to work towards. Strength and conditioning and or personal training experience or an interest in this area. Excellent leadership and time management skills. Excellent interpersonal communication skills including presentation skills. Computer literacy in MS suite of tools eg word excel etc. Full driving License. Up to date First Aid certification.

Desirable:

Sports science or sports rehabilitation, Massage training, Pilates training. Experience in the preparation of CPD workshops and conferences. Due to the requirements of this role and the responsibilities assigned to the post holder, successful applicants will undergo a screening process -Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure. Job Type: Full-time Salary or Part shift work on prorata salary is negotiable dependant on your experience and the individual.
