Director of Clinical and Rehabilitation Services
Full Time, Permanent
Salary: £69,693 - £81,837

AECC University College is a specialist health sciences institution and registered charity, established in 1965, dedicated to providing excellent education, clinical care and applied research. Based in Bournemouth, our campus is in an attractive setting, just a few minutes’ walk from the beach.  Building on its proud heritage, the University College is on an exciting journey of transformation and growth. We provide a vibrant and positive inter-professional learning and practice environment, within a caring and inclusive community.

About the role

Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, the Director of Clinical and Rehabilitation Services will be responsible for the leadership, management and transformation of clinical services at the University College. This will include oversight of existing clinical services and the planning, design and implementation of a new suite of integrated patient services which form part of our Integrated Rehabilitation Centre Programme.  The post-holder will ensure that the University College’s Clinical and Rehabilitation Services provide a centre of excellence, recognised as a nationally-leading community rehabilitation hub for patient care, education and applied research. In addition, the postholder will maximise the opportunities that our integrated model brings to improving the health of the population, with our services targeting interventions that offer a more sustainable approach to patients’ ongoing engagement in physical activity and other activities of daily life.

The role requires working in partnership with the Executive Group, senior management colleagues, governors, staff, students, patients and service users to ensure a culture of openness, shared responsibility and collaboration. There will also be significant external engagement with partners to embed our services within the wider Integrated Care System across Dorset and to work with non-NHS customers to seek out and optimise opportunities for AECC University College.

About the person

The post holder will have a strong personal commitment to person-centered practice in line with the values of the University College community. They will have substantial experience in healthcare management, delivery, education and training and will have established networks and positive working relationships with colleagues across health and social care organisations.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum & Nationality Act 2006.
