South West Hampshire Children's therapy team are looking for an innovative and pro-active Band 6 Children's Physiotherapist to join our friendly team, fixed term x 1 year.
You will be working in an integrated Children’s therapy service which consists of Physiotherapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Therapy Assistants and administration staff. As part of a multi-disciplinary and multiagency team, you will provide services for children with neurodevelopmental concerns experiencing a wide range of pathologies. You will assess and treat children with neurological conditions across various settings including community clinics, special and mainstream schools, colleges, preschools and home visits. You will be expected to clinically supervise and support more junior therapists in the team and run assessment clinics.
You would need to have excellent organisational and communication skills, problem solving skills and be able to quickly gain a good rapport with people from a range of backgrounds. Collaborative working with a range of professionals is an important part of this post. It is essential you can work as part of a team and use your own initiative for lone working.
The successful candidate will be expected to work across the locality of SW Hampshire and manage their own designated caseload.
The essential qualities we are looking for in our Physiotherapy applicants are:
- Excellent communication skills
- BSc/Diploma in Physiotherapy or equivalent
- HCPC Registration
- Car driver/owner
