Nuffield Health Glasgow Hospitalcurrently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Pelvic Health Physiotherapist to join our physiotherapy team.

 

Our Nuffield Health Glasgow Hospital has recently seen investment in cutting edge surgical technologies such as the Stryker Mako Robot-Assisted Joint Replacement System and is undergoing a wider refurbishment project.

The Role

You will see a range of pelvic health patients presenting with conditions such as pelvic floor dysfunction, prolapse and diastasis as well as post-op patients following gynaecological surgery. The candidate will be an autonomous practitioner and therefore be able to demonstrate competencies and be comfortable in the assessment and management of Women’s Health conditions. If you have MSK or orthopaedic experience, hours could be extended include an MSK or ward based caseload, however this is desirable rather than essential.

 

The Main Clinical Duties and Responsibilities are to:

  • Deliver excellent clinical care that is evidence-based, Safe, Effective, Caring, Well-led and responsive to our patient’s needs.

  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team consisting of some of the most experienced and recognised consultants in the West of Scotland as well as a team of senior musculoskeletal physiotherapists.

  • Ensure on-going monitoring of the standard of treatment provided

  • Be compliant with all professional, clinical and integrated governance standards and participate in clinical audit and other quality assurance processes

The Person

To succeed as a Physiotherapist you will;

  • Have a BSc in Physiotherapy or equivalent and be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.

  • Have evidence of further professional training in Pelvic Health and continual professional development, reflecting your desire to develop as a practitioner.

  • Be a confident communicator with the ability to engage effectively with the general public and other healthcare professionals.

  • Have a commitment to the use of evidence-based practice and be able to demonstrate excellent manual therapy skills.

  • Be able to demonstrate excellent manual therapy skills.

  • Be a competent and confident IT user with strong organisation skills

  • Have the ability to prioritise and deal with your varied workload in an effective and timely manner.
