Vacancy details

Would you like to join a dynamic and forward-thinking physiotherapy teaching team? Coventry University was one of the first universities to develop an apprenticeship route through their BSc (Hons) physiotherapy course which started in September 2019. Our BSc physiotherapy course is ranked 7th in the Complete University Guide 2021. We have expanded our pre-registration programme to include an MSc in Physiotherapy and Leadership (pre-registration), which also incorporates an apprenticeship route and a management qualification from the Chartered Management Institute and the delivery of apprenticeships from our Coventry University London campus. Our portfolio of courses also includes post-graduate MSc courses: Musculo-skeletal physiotherapy, Advancing Physiotherapy Practice and MSc Advanced Clinical Practitioner (MSK route) level 7 post-registration full-time/apprenticeship course.

To support teaching across all of these programmes the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Health are looking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic HCPC registered physiotherapist to work as an Assistant Professor within the established team of academics.

Successful candidates will possess an excellent understanding of cardio-respiratory physiotherapy practice, research and evidence-informed practice. At Assistant Professor level, applicants will hold a higher level academic qualification, preferably a PhD in a physiotherapy related subject. Applicants will also be required to demonstrate a high level of expertise within cardio-respiratory physiotherapy and have experience of teaching.

The post is a permanent full-time position. The salary is dependent upon the skills and qualifications of the individual. Job descriptions will be available upon request from the Human Resources Department.

The University offers academic and professional development opportunities and provides a Post Graduate Certificate Teaching Qualification leading to HEA accreditation.
