Would you like to join a dynamic and forward-thinking physiotherapy teaching team? Coventry University was one of the first universities to develop an apprenticeship route through their BSc (Hons) physiotherapy course, which started in September 2019. Our BSc physiotherapy course is ranked seventh in the Complete University Guide 2021. We have expanded our pre-registration programme to include an MSc in Physiotherapy and Leadership (pre-registration), which also incorporates an apprenticeship route and a management qualification from the Chartered Management Institute and the delivery of apprenticeships from our Coventry University London campus. Our portfolio of courses also includes post-graduate MSc courses: Musculo-skeletal physiotherapy, Advancing Physiotherapy Practice and MSc Advanced Clinical Practitioner (MSK route) level 7 post-registration fulltime/apprenticeship course and a new MSK First Contact Practitioner delivery.

The School of Nursing, Midwifery and Health are looking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic physiotherapist, who must be registered with the HCPC, to teach students across the pre-registration and post-registration courses including the widening apprenticeship routes.

The successful candidate will possess a thorough understanding of their specialist area of physiotherapy practice, and be able to demonstrate research and evidence-informed practice within that area. Experience of teaching students, either within a HEI or as a clinical educator, would be advantageous. Assistant lecturing posts are an ideal entry into academia. Coventry University support the development of teaching skills in new members of staff by providing access to a Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice in HE (PgCAPHE).

The post is a full-time 1 year fixed term contract. The salary is dependent upon the skills and qualifications of the individual. Job descriptions will be available upon request from the Human Resources Department.

The University offers academic and professional development opportunities and provides a Post Graduate Certificate Teaching Qualification leading to HEA accreditation.
