This is your opportunity to join Nottingham CityCare’s highly regarded MOSAIC (Musculoskeletal Orthopaedic Spinal pain And Integrated Chronic fatigue syndrome) Service as AN Advanced Practitioner Physiotherapist across the newly appointed Primary Care Networks (PCNs) in Nottingham City.

Employed as an Advanced Practitioner Physiotherapist, your First Contact Practitioner role, will require you to be assigned to a GP Practice where you will perform advanced MSK assessments, diagnosis and first line treatment and (if appropriate) investigations and referrals with the overarching aim to reduce primary care resources.

The successful candidates will have to demonstrate a high degree of autonomy and complex decision making across a range of settings, enabling innovative solutions to enhance patient’s experience and improve outcomes. To enhance your current skillset, we provide a training package that will include:

  • Hand Assessment in primary care
  • Rheumatology
  • Post graduate module – advanced practice
  • FCP e-learning modules

Additionally, you will be fully integrated in to The MOSAIC Service and the opportunity to be involved in:

  • Orthopaedic triage of secondary care referrals
  • Clinical assessment and treatment planning within our Integrated Clinical Assessment and Treatment (ICATS) clinics.
  • Diagnostic referrals (MRI scans, x-ray, USS etc.)
  • Service evaluation (please see job description and person spec for further details).
  • Regular supervision
  • In-service Training (internal and external speakers)
  • Being a part of  Nottingham’s GP+ ‘first contact physiotherapy’ out of hours clinic.  This will be arranged on a rota basis that involves working up until 20:00 during the week and 13:00 on the weekend.

The ability to travel between clinic locations is essential and there will be an expectation to work some evenings and Saturday clinics.
