Paediatric Complex Needs Physiotherapist
Demelza Kent, Sittingbourne
Band 6 equivalent (£31,347-£37,190 FTE)
22.5 hours per week – a range of flexible working options available

Demelza provides specialist care and emotional support for children and young people with serious and terminal conditions and their loved ones, across Kent, East Sussex and South East London.

We help with every element of life for a child or young person with a serious or terminal condition by providing tailored care. From diagnosis through to end of life and bereavement services, we’re there for that journey.

We seek a Paediatric Complex Needs Physiotherapist who will be responsible for developing the delivery of holistic physiotherapy techniques and support for the children and young people accessing Demelza services at all sites.

You will be responsible for supporting the management, implementation and review of physiotherapy plans for children aged from birth to 18 years to ensure safe practice at Demelza whilst preserving maximum benefit to the child. This new role aims to support a child’s safety, comfort and achieve stability in their complex, long-term condition while being cared for by Demelza, and is not to replace statutory services. This will involve liaising with external therapists to gain a deeper understanding of the child’s therapy plan and ensuring that your colleagues in the care teams are well-informed, confident and competent in delivering these techniques.

This will require working as part of a multi-disciplinary team providing a high-quality service to children and young adults and their families; contributing to interagency and inter-professional collaboration and team work to ensure that delivery of care is timely, well-coordinated, effective and appropriate to need. You will be a chartered Physiotherapist with current HCPC registration.

The role will involve travelling across sites on a regular basis in order to support care delivery.

Apply now to join #TeamDemelza and be part of our passion and dedication to be there when we are needed the most. Benefits include 36 days’ holiday, training and career development, flexible working patterns, and the option to keep your NHS pension or join our contributory pension scheme.
