SPECIALIST PHYSIOTHERAPIST – INTEGRATED ASSESSMENT TEAM

SALARY: £27,635 - £37,010
BAND 6 - HOURS: 37.5 (5 DAYS OVER 7)
We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Physiotherapist with developed inpatient clinical skills to join our Integrated Assessment Team within the front door areas (Admissions Units and ED). This interdisciplinary team includes Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapist, Nurse Practitioners and Frailty Practitioners. You must be flexible, and will be expected to fully participate in the teams seven day working rota, including a 12.5 hr shift pattern.
You must be able to demonstrate a keen interest in fast paced assessments and clinical decision making within the range of areas covered by the general medical specialty, including elderly medicine; most specifically around the frailty agenda. You must have significant previous inpatient experience preferably at Band 6 level. It is essential that you enjoy working as part of a cohesive team. You will be expected to possess or will develop acute medical management skills.
You will be expected to deputise for the Team Lead in their absence therefore experience of staff supervision/management would be beneficial. There will be an expectation to participate in clinical audit, quality improvement, in-service training, and evidence based practice. There will also be an expectation to undertake the clinical supervision and appraisals of more junior staff as well as lead the supervision and development of undergraduate/pre-reg students. Car sharing is available from Edinburgh and Dunfermline.
