If you're a physiotherapy student, find out about the support and guidance our student support officer can offer you
As a CSP student member, you have access to dedicated support if you face difficulties during your studies or placement. You don’t have to navigate it alone.
Our student support officer (SSO) is here to listen, guide, and help you take the next steps with issues such as bullying, discrimination, or barriers to inclusion.
You’ll receive compassionate, confidential support and help identifying the next steps.
Jess Sainsbury, CSP’s student support officer, offers confidential, independent support and signposting to empower you to take action that feels right for you.
Jess is also a registered mental health nurse, and brings a compassionate, student-centred approach to helping you feel heard.
She will help you understand your options and take the next steps that feel right for you.
What the student support officer can help with
- Concerns about bullying, discrimination, or harassment
- Challenges during placements or at university
- Support accessing reasonable adjustments or inclusive learning environments
- Understanding or navigating university complaints processes
- Signposting to CSP networks, support services, or expert advice
- A safe space to talk when you’re unsure what to do next
