Feeling stressed? Try Workout at Work Day

To coincide with this year’s Workout at Work Day (WOWD), the CSP has launched a leaflet that explains how regular physical activity can help combat stress.

The ‘Under Pressure’ leaflet provides a series of top tips for relieving stress, including breathing techniques, advice on posture and guidance on how people can incorporate exercise into their working lives.

‘The new leaflet suggests ways that workers can build physical activity into their day to help them relieve tension or stress,’ says CSP media and public relations officer Paul Marston.

‘It also highlights the work that physiotherapy staff do – including how they help people return to normal activities following illness and injury, and their role in encouraging better physical and mental health.’

New electronic downloadable versions of the CSP’s free ‘Fit for Work’ leaflets have also been produced in time for WOWD, which takes place on 19 June. They are free to download for members.

The new leaflets are co-branded with the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) and will be promoted to 135,000 human resources manager members.

Two weeks prior to WOWD, CSP members who have registered for the event will automatically be sent 100 copies of the new ‘Fit for Work’ leaflet.
