It depends. Your contract may already contain a ‘flexibility’ clause allowing the employer to change your working patterns or shifts.
If your contract does not allow for this then you will be asked to sign a new contract outlining the revised terms and conditions.
If you do not agree with the proposed new terms then your employer can give you three months’ notice, then dismiss and re-engage you on the new contract.
In all cases the CSP strongly believe that full consultation should be undertaken with all affected staff and their CSP reps with a view to reaching agreement.
