This is a practical course designed to explore aspects of clinical reasoning and treatment techniques for use in the community and hospital settings.
By the end of the course the delegate will be able to:
- Undertake a structured assessment of the wrist and hand as they relate to posture and movement
- Clinically reason the significance of wrist and hand alignment on an individual’s ability to move the upper limb
- Begin to develop treatment ideas relating to the wrist and hand – their alignment and influence on function
- Gain feedback on handling skills relating to the wrist and hand in a practical setting
Pre-course requirements: Must have attended Posture and Balance as they relate to the Upper Limb or can evidence having attended course(s) of a similar content and level. This is a practical course and delegates should come appropriately dressed with strappy/vest tops.
This is a course aimed at qualified therapy staff working in adult neurology.
Pre-course reading: Any Anatomy text relating to musculature relating to the wrist and hand
CPD Certificate of attendance awarded: 5.5 hours
Fee: £130 (including refreshments)
