This evidence-based online course has been designed specifically for healthcare professionals, building on the skills and knowledge they already have to be able to teach parents and caregivers infant massage. The on-demand format of our course allows you the flexibility to fit studying into your schedule.
Bee Happy Babies LLP was co-founded by fellow CSP members and infant massage instructors, Sonya Elnaschie and Amy Morrison-Smith (member of APCP and East Anglia regional committee member).

Course aims
The course will provide the knowledge and skills to integrate infant massage into your existing work/practice or to work independently as an infant massage instructor in group or 1:1 settings.
Infant massage is a powerful tool which has a wide range of benefits including supporting the development of the somatosensory, autonomic and immune systems, reducing hyperbilirubinemia, improving weight gain, improving sleep and reducing maternal anxiety and depression. Using the techniques, you will be able to support babies and their families whether that be in your existing clinical setting or by setting up private massage classes.
Learning outcomes
Using lessons, instruction videos, knowledge quizzes and practical assessments, the course will provide the knowledge and skills needed to confidently teach infant massage techniques and also discuss the evidence and physiology behind infant massage.
The course provides a refresher for the underpinning theory of infant massage (relevant anatomy and physiology), looks at typical infant development, reviews the researched benefits so that you can have informed discussions with colleagues and gives the practical aspects of teaching.
Who will benefit
The course is suitable for physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nurses and midwives and aims to enable attendees to confidently teach infant massage techniques in a variety of settings.
