We are looking to further increase the Physiotherapy team at Nash College. We are looking for a highly motivated, dynamic and adaptable person who enjoys working as part of a multidisciplinary team to join the Physiotherapy team.

Nash is a further education College for young people who have a range of diagnosis including Autistic Spectrum Disorder and associated behavioural needs as well as Severe Learning Disabilities and Profound Multiple Learning Disabilities with associated complex physical needs.

Experience of working in the fields of learning disability/complex needs and experience in hydrotherapy/aquatic therapy is required and experience of rebound therapy, postural management and seating would be desirable.

You will need to be confident working independently. You will carry a clinical caseload, may provide clinical supervision to Physiotherapy assistants and will work closely with other members of the multidisciplinary team. You will be involved in aquatic therapy sessions (which can be up to 2 to 2.5 hours in length) and other community based activities such as Rebound therapy.

As you will need to travel to some community based sites being a car driver will be desirable.

We can offer you:

  • An excellent opportunity to work across all our three models of student groups (ASD, PMLD, SLD) under the guidance of a Lead physiotherapist
  • The benefit of working closely with a supportive, highly specialist on- site multi- disciplinary team including Occupational therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, Music Therapy and Psychology
  • The chance to deepen your understanding of working in an educational setting. You will be able to work with students over the length of their stay at college (mostly 3 years) and make a real impact on their learning, their comfort and their physical skills and well- being.
  • Term- time working with some flexibility around working hours during the week

We are also committed to the continuing professional development of our staff. We have a well-developed supervision structure, peer supervision and a variety of training opportunities, with an annual Personal Development Review which will be monitored throughout the year.
