Our Service in Herts Valley

Herts Valley CCG have commissioned an integrated MSK service to be delivered by Connect Health across the Herts Valley region. The areas covered include: St. Albans, Watford, Borehamwood, Berkhamsted, Hemel Hempstead, Redbourn and Harpenden. This is an exciting, new, integrated service that provides a single-point of access for NHS patients and enables a seamless, efficient MSK patient journey.  The team will include MSK Physiotherapists, Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioners, Occupational Therapists, GPs with special interest in Pain and or Rheumatology, Psychologists and Rehabilitation Therapists providing care for patients with musculoskeletal pain as well as complex persistent pain and non-urgent rheumatology conditions. The service will also include a postural stability rehabilitation service (falls rehabilitation exercise classes). The integrated service design allows clinicians to work together to deliver seamless and evidence-based care for patients and enables inter-disciplinary learning.

About the role

We are looking for enthusiastic, well-organised, ambitious MSK Physiotherapists to join our team within ‘Herts Valley’, delivering high quality clinical care for patients with musculoskeletal conditions. Whilst undertaking comprehensive assessment and diagnosis of patients with a wide variety of physical and emotional needs, you will formulate, deliver, review and progress individual treatment programmes and ensure effective treatment, specialist advice and timely discharge are achieved. The role may involve delivering telephone subjective assessments, running group sessions, delivering exercise rehabilitation out of local gyms and providing face to face physiotherapy sessions. Regular in- service training and supervision will be provided.
