Our Physiotherapy team working in our Guildford Hospital currently have an opportunity for a Senior Physiotherapist. Continue your journey with us whilst we’ll support you to be your best.
You will work across inpatient and outpatient settings both at our Hospital site as part of our cross-site team, and may be required to work in outpatients in our Guildford Fitness & Wellbeing site. You will see a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, pre and post operative cases, playing a key role in helping our patients achieve, maintain and recover to the level of health and wellbeing that they aspire to.
You will work within a multidisciplinary team including nurses, AHPS, consultants and fitness professionals in order to optimise the health and recovery of our patients.
The cross-site team at Guildford Hospital and Guildford Fitness & Wellbeing is brilliantly placed to support and mentor the successful candidate for this role, alongside our academy training programmes. As a Senior Physiotherapist you will;
- Deliver high quality, effective clinical care.

- Ensure on-going monitoring of the standard of treatment provided
- Be compliant with all professional, clinical and integrated governance standards and participate in clinical audit and other quality assurance processes
The Person
To succeed as a Senior Physiotherapist you will;
- Have a BSc in Physiotherapy or equivalent, you’ll be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.
- Demonstrate strong evidence of further professional training and continual professional development, reflecting your desire to develop as a practitioner.
- Be a confident communicator with the ability to engage effectively with the general public and other healthcare professionals.
- Be able to demonstrate excellent manual therapy skills.
- Be able to demonstrate competent respiratory Physiotherapy skills.
- Be a competent and confident IT user with strong organisation skills
- Have the ability to prioritise and deal with your varied workload in an effective and timely manner.

Guildford Hospital
Nuffield Health Guildford provides high-quality healthcare for the people of Guildford and its surrounding areas. The hospital is easily accessible from the A3 or M25 and we are located about 1.5 miles from Guildford town centre.
We work with leading Consultants to offer a range of services and treatments for preventing, diagnosing and treating a wide array of medical conditions and offer a wide range of complex surgery and services. Our care is matron led and we are proud to have received a "good" rating from the health care regulator, the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Our facilities include 49 en-suite patient bedrooms, 4 operating theatres, acute dependency and oncology units. We’ve been awarded the Macmillan Quality Environment Mark for cancer care. Our site is shared with an NHS Trust hospital, giving us access to their facilities. The working atmosphere is highly professional and stimulating, yet friendly and collaborative like that of a large family unit.
