Vacancy details
Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is a large organisation incorporating Royal Preston Hospital and Chorley & South Ribble Hospital.
We are a large department with an integrated therapy team which serves a variety of core and specialist services across both sites.
The organisation, clinical management structure and culture provide a supported work environment where you can develop your skills and knowledge and play a key role in the delivery of high quality health care.
An opportunity has developed for newly qualified or existing Physiotherapists within the band 5 rotation wheel.
Rotations are offered in a two tier system to promote development within the role. They include acute medicine, surgery and critical care, neurosciences (stroke services and neurosurgery), trauma and orthopaedics and MSK outpatients. The rotation wheel covers both sites.
There is a structured support system provided by Specialist Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Professional leads, within each integrated team.
There is a comprehensive in service training and supervision program and staff are encouraged to reflect on their practice and develop the evidence base to support future services.
Staff are expected to participate in the on-call physiotherapy service provision. Full competency based on call training will be provided.
In recognition of the need for enhanced provision, the Integrated Therapy Service is looking to move towards 7 day working, and as such the successful candidate will be expected to support this model of care when it is implemented.
