The role
Are you an experienced Physiotherapist with a minimum of 18 months post registration experience with an interest or expertise in Palliative Care? Do you want to make a positive difference to palliative patients lives? If so, you may be the person we are looking for to join our team.
The hospice provides a range of interventions including courses on managing breathlessness and fatigue; exercise groups and creative therapies designed to increase confidence and independence for patients to self manage symptoms of their condition, support is offered mostly face to face with virtual care also being offered.
This is an exciting opportunity for a caring, compassionate and committed professional to support the holistic rehabilitative agenda within the Hospice. You will work collaboratively with members of the Multi-disciplinary Teams to provide a truly holistic approach to supporting patients within our In-Patient Unit, Living Well Centre and the Community setting.
About You
You will have a minimum of 18 months post registration experience of working as a Physiotherapist and have excellent communication and moving and handling skills. A Physiotherapy degree or diploma and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council are essential requirements for this role.
At St. Richard’s, we provide further training and development opportunities and clinical supervision. The successful candidate will receive day-to-day managerial and professional support from a team of experienced Palliative Care Physiotherapists.
It is essential for this post that you hold a full UK driving licence with access to your own vehicle.
