Physiotherapist
Marine Court, Littlehampton
37.5 hours per week
£32,548 per annum plus excellent benefits

“You need to come see the facilities and what people go through. From an injury where I didn’t think I’d survive, I have gone from walking with a hunch to walking upright. I broke my back, but look at me now. The physiotherapy here is second to none.”

Would you like to be part of an amazing and innovative team of people who spend each working day making life-changing differences to injured fire and rescue personnel and their families? Do you want to showcase your skilled support in state-of-the-art, purpose-built facilities, using your expertise to create personalised programmes of recovery and hands-on support? Are you someone who believes in treating everyone as an individual and taking a holistic approach to their overall wellbeing?

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Physiotherapist to work at Marine Court in Littlehampton, West Sussex. You will be joining our team at an exciting time for us as we develop our services to provide lifelong support and empower people to achieve psychological, physical and social wellbeing throughout their lives. If you are looking to develop your skills in a forward thinking, responsive sphere of healthcare, this is an excellent opportunity to do so.

At The Fire Fighters Charity, we exist to support serving and retired fire and rescue service personnel and their families during their time of need. We recognise that no two people are alike, so work in partnership with our beneficiaries, tailoring our services to meet their individual needs to ensure the best possible outcome.

Working in collaboration with exercise therapists and psychological therapists, you will use your expertise to provide one-to-one support through physiotherapy assessment, treatment and management both at our specialist rehabilitation centre and online through our digital platforms and apps. You will see a wide range of health conditions and have substantial opportunities to be an active part of service development, audit and lead on specific areas.

If you are an established band 5 physiotherapist and are looking for an opportunity to develop your skills in a forward-thinking responsive sphere of healthcare then this could be an excellent opportunity for you, or you may already be in a band 6 role and are looking to hone and share your knowledge and expertise.

To be successful, you will:
- Have a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy or an alternative appropriate qualification in physiotherapy
- Be a chartered physiotherapist, registered with the HCPC and a Member of the CSP
- Have a broad range of physiotherapy skills, including MSK
- Ideally have experience of supporting people with neurological, long term, mental health and complex conditions
- Have excellent communication skills and be adaptable & resilient to change

In return, we offer a competitive salary and benefits package in a rewarding role supporting the UK’s fire and rescue services community. We welcome informal visits to the centre where the grounds, facilities and the services provided can be fully appreciated and where we can share with you some of the positive feedback we receive. Please contact the Human Resources Team to arrange a visit.

Applications are by way of a CV along with a covering letter clearly demonstrating how you meet the criteria for the role and can be submitted to via the button shown.

We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all sectors of the community.
