The CSP has condemned knife attacks on Muslims in Edinburgh.
Our thoughts are with all those hurt in yesterday’s attacks and we wish them a speedy recovery.
This Islamophobic crime has heightened fear amongst our Muslim members, particularly in Scotland, about their own safety and place in Scottish society. However this is a growing problem in every UK nation and region.
We are committed to building an inclusive CSP and inclusive society. We condemn the divisions in our communities that underpin growing racist violence. As an organisation we are working with other organisations to challenge racism and Islamophobia in Scotland and across the UK.
We can support CSP members who are experiencing Islamophobia at work or in education. Please contact us via your local CSP reps or enquiries@csp.org.uk.
